Kill Saint Vitus (1982) - The first Saint Vitus album was released via their own label on C60 Cassette in 1982. The characteristic Rock-Ska sound can't be found any better, anywere. The Band was founded November 15, 1980 by Bassist Peter and Guitarist Harry. With Erik-Jan on Drums and Vocalist Stella the first Line-up was completed late 1981. On januari 23th 1982 they debuted at the famous first BIP-festival in the Netherlands.

Take That Bridge (1982) - The second album in the original line-up was also released on their own label Bounty Records and came after an excellent debut. Nonetheless a worthy straight ahead rock/ska follow-up album only Saint Vitus could produce.

1983 was a confusing year for Saint Vitus, Erik Jan left and further recording was done with Rob Puik and sometimes André de Jager on drums and percussion. Bounty Records released a C90 cassette from a single Concert with Stella and Erik-Jan still in the Band. Meanwhile, Hans became a permanent member on Keyboards. However, Rob and André were still under contract with a band called Stress, so for live-gigs, Frits was hired as a drummer. New material was written and early 1984, auditions for a new singer and drummer were held. In came Corinne and Auke. A demo was recorded, Saint Vitus II was presented to the Press and there was an American contact.

Saint Vitus - Make Your Move (1984) - The second Line-up of Saint Vitus produced a funkier sound with a symphonic edge. Please Stop and Make Your Move did very well. From this formation only one album came to see the light of the day in 1984. Bad promotion and mismanagement caused Saint Vitus II never really achieving further succes. Plans to conquer America of course never materialized and Saint Vitus II didn't see the year out. They found themselves without a singer for a second time. Still they didn't give up. With Lucy and René, some rehearsals were done, but they never did play live. This very obscure line-up is sometimes revered to as Saint Vitus 3.

To the left the Saint Vitus II line-up and to the right the original Saint Vitus line-up. This Dutch Band shouldn't be confused with the American Doom-Metal formation bearing the same band-name. Both groups were founded around the same time, 1979/1980.
