Take That Bridge - Saint Vitus

The general criticism on this release was: "The album is more of the same compared to the previous release". But that isn't always a bad thing, certainly not when one takes the excellence of Kill Saint Vitus into account. However, Take That Bridge did suffer from the "follow up syndrome", meaning the album couldn't really compete at the same level with the previous one. The two title songs 'Kill Saint Vitus' and 'Take That Bridge' follow similar patterns and 'Mind Goes First' could well be a song from the first album. One advantage the second album had was its' ballad 'Why'. This made up for the omission of a slow song on the first album. Next up was the 'Saint Vitus Live' album containing most of 'Take That Bridge' and rehabilitating the album to some extent.
