Skunk Alive
Contemporary's second album originally was released as a C90 music-cassette, which offered the Band plenty of room to loose themselves in extended solo's. Otto, Stefan and Henri were improvisers in heart and soul. An over 17 minute Boogie-c and a 23 minute plus Piano Improvisations (by Otto) are examples of this. The band played mainly Blues, Jazz, Classical fragments and what is best called Prog-Rock. Most of this album was recorded at the Central Library in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in November 1976. Taken in account the cousins were very Young at the time, Otto 18, Henri 17 and Stefan 16, it is quite amazing they came up with this Music. Unfortunately soon after These recordings, Otto left the band in search for new musical horizons, Stefan and Henri tried to carry on with Jan on Bassguitar and Wouter on Drums, what led to the formation of Hardrock Band Feedback. With the Contemporary-split, an unique Music-style got lost forever. We are lucky to have these recordings.
